Kyocera Fleet Services with USB devices

Is there a way for make USB devices show up in KFS. Do you have to install the Gateway to accomplish this. Have two customers that have machines setup on USB only and they do not show up in Fleet Services so I can not do updates or monitor them.

    Thanks

Yep, has to be done with the gateway.

Install the NetGateway and install the local agent for the USB devices, when you search for the device make sure you select USB devices under the discovery settings. Just remember you have to search for the PC host name or IP not the printer.

Must be doing something wrong. Have installed the Local Agent, made sure that the .NET Framework setting are turned on, made sure that the Administrator is enabled under the Local security policy, made the changes under the Group Policy, ran the group policy update and winrm quickconfig. And made sure it sees the host name computer. When I go to try to Discover the USB printer it comes back with no devices?

          What am I missing?

I'm fairly green so if someone else wants to confirm\deny this please do and I will update accordingly.
That said if I remember my KFS training course right, you will be able to monitor devices after installing a gateway but many of the actual administrative\maintenance tasks won't work through the gateway.

Ricoh used to have a Fleet monitoring and cost accounting system that included a client monitoring software that could be installed on individual computers and would monitor locally attached USB, parallel and serial printers.

The company may have an additional firewall preventing the communication. Ask them also find out what port it needs to communicate with Kyocera
