Does TA 3500i TA 3550ci Paper feed assy interchange with a TA 4500 and 4550ci ?

It seems like when I replace the paper feed rollers on a 3500 or 3550ci it gives me problems. I hate those assemblies. Can you use the TA 4550 4500 paper feed assembly in a 3500i 3550ci with success. I am thinking about just replacing all these machines PF assy's when I get em. Thanks so much for any help !!!

I have not tried it, but from just looking at the parts manual, the 4550ci has the feed shift solenoid the 3550ci does not. I doubt that the engine firmware on a 3550ci would support the feed assembly from a 4550ci, I would also suspect the wiring harness is different.

They are different, the 4500i feed assemblies are motor driven, the 3500i are not, they are clutch driven.

Good news.

I ordered a 302LC94040 feed unit assy and they sent me one that uses the easy clip style rollers. There may be a QA about a parts update (new pn 303NJ94110). I thought I ordered the wrong one but it fits and that godforsaken separation housing is gone.

Doug, they discontinued the low speed feed assemblies on these years ago. Even if you order the low speed they will send you the high speed feed assemblies for future reference.
