Hello Folks
Seasons Greetings
I had to look at a 5053ci today that is about 2 years old and life count of 430K.
I noted toner had fallen into the cassette 1 (upper).
I checked the area directly above the cassette inside the machine (in this case toner had dropped in the front)
I saw that above the cassette there is a wire mesh material that when I touched some toner continued to fall. Not sure if this is part of any major component.
I cleaned the area and inspected the developer/drum area, transfer belt looked ok as well.
This is a new one on me as from what I understand cleaning of waste toner and duct work is in the back of the machine.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated or if someone has had a similar issue I would like to know.
Regards
Ed
