Kyocera 8001i "The Power Cable is Unlplugged" msg

Customer keeps getting an error on the screen that says "The Power Cable is Unplugged" and also says to power off, check the cable, and power back on.

This machine only has the one power cable that is hard wired to the machine, unlike the 8000i that has two.

There is an adapter being used on the power plug to allow the 20amp plug to fit in a 15amp outlet (but they have had it this way for over a year)

The error can usually be reset by turning the machine off and will come back intermittently when printing or during warm up.

I am going to try firmware today, but I suspect either the fuser or power supply

Let me know if anyone has came across this issue.

    Thanks,

I would make the customer put in 20amp.
