we have lately had issues with mag clutches dying, especially on the duplex. is this a known major issue? is there perhaps an upgraded version? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, rbell12

I would do 2 things, first check and cleanrollers vertical trajectory.
second test to remove the spring is in the pick up of the feed unit that makes you press the pick up roller

Pretty regularly like when you PM you need to take the clutches on the registration, verticle transport, and duplex, oh and bypass and clean them. You will be ok after that but those clutches are sensitive to time and wear.

Just clean the surfaces with scotch brite, clean off with alcohol, then score the main surface with a scribe or something and that should do it.

appreciate the replies. guess i should have been more specific. the clutches are not engaging. i have removed them and hooked them to a power supply and cannot get the throw to engage. anyway, have found that they are reasonably priced. hope this is just a run of bad luck. thanks, again for your input. rbell12

used to change a couple of regclutches, but i guess they did something, because it was just a passing period.
