I recently tried updating my Kyocera P-3150DN using the official Kyocera firmware update tool, but the process failed. Now, the printer starts up, but it doesn’t go past the welcome screen – nothing else happens.
After some research, I found out that it might be possible to manually flash the firmware via USB, but I don’t have the necessary firmware file for that. Kyocera only provides .FWP files for the official update tool, which obviously didn’t work in my case.
Does anyone have experience with manually recovering a Kyocera printer via USB? Where can I get the correct firmware file, or is there another way to bring my printer back to life?
