Strange problem with the new XX54ci machines

    Hi All

I am trying to see if any on this form have run into real strange issues with this new Evolved copiers.

    Problems I've encountered.

    1. On setup, we go a jam right of the bat in the AK unit. Got to the point we replace the AK unit thinking that it was a sensor in the unit. NO joy. Then all of a sudden it started working and didn't fail a run of 200+

    2. Installed at a customers network. Transferred data from an existing xx51ci device. after transfer, rebooted the xx54ci and it started dropping off the network. I re-flashed firmware. No go. So as last resort, did a U021. Then it started working. After re-transferring the xx51ci files back, It kept working.

    3. Installed another xx54ci at a different customers network. Everything worked except for the email scanning. when you hit the Test button, it tested OK but when you send an email you get 3101 error. Did a bunch of troubleshooting with the SMTP provider, still didn't work. used U021 and reset everything up. still not working. changed the network from a static address to DHCP. Then it started to scan to email. Changed DHCP back to a Static address, it kept working.

Have any of you had any of this issues?

    Thanks

We have noticed that also paper gets about halfway into the attachment kit and stops whether the finisher is connected or not. Last time it happened I swapped the AK kit and the fault was still there, poked around at the now unused paper exit sensor in the machine body, and it worked.
One of those times when you haven't done anything, and it's fixed, slightly infuriating.
