[Misc] Ecosys 2135 Windows 10 WIA Scanning

    Good morning.

Has anyone had any success scanning via WIA using any program other than Windows Fax and Scan?

Using either the USB or LAN driver, it doesn't show up on any software, Microsoft Paint included.

We need it for a customer on a very particular setup where the machines will be connected via USB cable on a series of mobile covid testing centers.

The machines are new, and supposedly they should "just work".

    Thank you for any input.

TWAIN doesn't work on 64 bit software - as far as I know, it's being discontinued in favor of WIA.

Some Kyocera will not show up the scan users software check with the company that makes the software. Kyocera was NOT supported on the program we had.

If I open up MS Paint (the simplest program there is), I can scan from the Ricoh machines but Kyocera doesn't show up.

Have you tried the Kyocera Quick Scan? I think it work for these devices.

                Good luck

The customer needs to scan from a WIA compliant software - I can't tell him to just use another program. It's like "I can't print from Word" "Well, why don't you use notepad instead?"

The software in question scans a document directly into some kind of database. It's a streamlined system, it should work with any WIA-compliant device...
