My advice to any copier tech would be to stay away from generic toner. You don't have the equipment nor time to do the testing. I wouldn't take anyone's word for it. Don't even take my word for it. The only way to know for sure is to do the testing. That costs a lot of time and money. You'd really need to be in the business of toner rebuilding.
Let me tell you how good some aftermarket toner is? It's good enough that the federal government mandates that a certain percentage of their toner must be aftermarket.
But like I said, it's too much of a burden for a tech to be worrying about it.
