[Error Code] Kyocera ECOSYS M3655idn - Waste Toner Bottle Not Installed

Hi, all. New guy here so if my terminology sounds wrong, blame it on inexperience. A few weeks ago went out to a customer call for this machine. Upon arrival, immediately took notice that the waste toner bottle not installed error was on the machine screen. We performed minor troubleshooting steps at customer location including cleaning out the waste toner bottle, resetting the machine, trying to access maintenance mode (couldn't at the time due to a queued fax job), and even called tech support. Tech support was not very helpful as our literal guidance was "there is a board somewhere in the machine, try taking a look at that". We did, the next day, at customer location. Followed all service manual guidance to get to the "Connect-L" board where the waste toner sensor lands. Nothing apparently wrong but went ahead and gave customer a loner machine so we could take the machine in question back to our shop. Tore it down even further, nothing immediately seems to be wrong but as of writing this post we have tried changing that Connect-L board, the waste toner sensor itself, and the ribbon cable that runs from the Connect-L board to the main PCB. Nothing has worked, we've even tried putting in a new waste toner sensor bottle just to hopefully appease the machine. Our next step in troubleshooting would be to change the main PCB as that's the last stop in the chain of troubleshooting. Before doing that, just thought I'd check in here to see if any of you have experienced this issue and if so, what did you determine was the issue and fix?

    Thanks,
    Nathaniel.

Do a FULL install to the latest firmware. Had a couple that we could not get the error to go away and this fixed it.
