    Kyocera 1010

    Hi Folks
I have a 1010 that stopped half way through a print job and the lights indicate a paper jam, but I cant find any I have checked the flag sensors are not jammed.
Would be grateful for any ideas
PS this is the second one I have seen with this problem in a week

    Cheers Jim B

    1. Is it showing a jam (fast flashing) or out of paper (slow flashing) as that LED shows one of two things. If the flashing is slow and there is paper in the machine, make sure that the cassette actuator (lower left hand side) is actuating the switch correctly.

    2. Make sure that the sensors themselves are actually clean and no dust in them.

    3. Look at the top of the sensor actuator and make sure that it hasn't been worn away by constant printing. I have seen a few sensors actuators that have slowly had the tops shaved off from the paper.

    4. One last thing. Make sure that there are no other lights flashing as well as the jam light that may indicate an error message.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
