    Grays different on 3252ci vs 5052ci ??

We have a customer that is struggling with gray colors on a 3252ci. We have tested the same file on a 5052ci we have in our office and the grays look entirely different. This customer prints a lot of price files with background gray on alternating rows from excel.
Does someone know if the the 3552ci and higher have a complete different engine than the 2552ci and 3252ci that would do this? The 5052ci is much more accurate to what the customer's Bizhub printed. Trying to figure out if there is something we can do to get the color more accurate on the 3252ci??

    Thanks a lot

Did you try setting the driver to print gray with black toner?

Thank you, we did not. It would be worth trying. Copies are producing similar recults and the customer is using all Mac Computers.

3252ci / 2552ci use OPC drums and dual component developer with brush formation. Higher speed series use ASi drums and Touchdown system (still dual component with no brush formation like the low speed).

We have tried both. We are planning on going onsite in the morning and doing a test with 'print grays with black toner'

            thank you for your input!
