I came across this issue as well. You have to select the "inner" exit tray as the output option when trying to run cardstock. A workaround is selecting "Thick" as the paper type and then you can choose one of the finisher exit trays as the output. If the paper is really thick, you risk having fusing issues or jamming with this setting, which is probably why output options are limited when cardstock is selected.
