    Anyway to disable multi feed detection P6235 P6030

    I know done printers have the ability to disable multi feed detection so it will just continue printing regardless of how many sheets it's picks up? Anyone know if it's possible on kyocera.

    Have a few customers that are using poorly cut paper and no fix to stop it taking multiple sheets up. Usually jam 0511 multi feed jams.

    In my experience, if the lead edges of the multifed pages are exactly lined up, it will print fine. But if they're not aligned, it throws off the timing, which then records as a jam. The printers don't actually detect multifeeds. Check the sep roller, but if it's bad paper, not much you can do.

      Hello Tcook,

      On this devices, there's no sensor for multi feed. There's only paper lenght detection and the parametre FRPO Y4 to disable this.

        FRPO Y4 is that permanent? If you reboot machine will that still apply? How do you apply that setting never done it?

        That would be amazing if that works. I have tried everything SEP tyre fitted correct, tried weaker SEP springs, softer SEP tyre. The paper has a poorly cut edge so maybe every 50-100 sheets 2 or more sheets will get fed.

        Doesn't look like Y4 would do it. Can't see any commands that mention paper length.

          Never heard of such a setting for detecting multifed paper issues.. Poorly cut paper, likely from a local papermill will always give you misfeeds, crooked, wrinkling, & most often jamming and leaving a lot of paper lint and contaminating all feed & registration rollers in the machine. I have a local papermill near me & this is an ongoing issue with companies getting free or discounted paper from the mill. Trying to save money by buying or receiving free paper will cost them more in the long run. I wish you success with these customers.

            search the net for a kyocera frpo manual pdf and see how to do the programing.

            First print out the service status page and see what Y0 is set at. Not all parameters is supported on all machines.

            Y0 Auto Continue Timer
            Where a “Press CONTINUE” error exists and it is possible to continue printing, as with the “Memory overflow
            Press CONTINUE” and “Print overrun Press CONTINUE” errors, the printer will stop printing until the user
            presses the “CONTINUE” button.
            In the case of a shared printer or where additional print jobs have been sent for processing, the printing is
            held up until the user cancels the error.
            The Auto Continue function allows the printer to automatically recover after a period of time after this type of
            error has occurred and to process the remaining jobs.
            Y0 = 0 Auto Continue Off
            Y0 = 1 Auto Continue On (default)
            Y1 is the Auto Continue Timer Value and controls the amount of time between the occurrence of the error
            and when the printer continues printing. (0 to 99 seconds. Default = 0)

              I believe what he's talking about is, when printing or copying, the rough edges of the paper are causing several pieces to be pulled in at the same time, giving one copy/print & several blank pages from 1 copy. some times it will pull in enough that its too thick & will jam.. I apologize if I'm wrong, but thinking this is his issue with a few customers.

                Usually the machine feeds say two sheets that have been badly cut, once it gets to reg one will stay behind one will continue. Machine then detects a jam as the reg sensor is still covered by the separated sheet.

                It's a can't win situation but if there was a continue to feed regardless then atleast sometimes the machine would continue regardless of detected paper length.

                I'm seeing it more and more these days and the "well it should work with this paper" is getting tiring.
