having troubles with scanning. Customer has installed all software correctly and we are still getting an destination PC not found message when trying to scan to a folder. ANY ideas would be great. I am a Sharp tech but have 4 of these machines out there and have no clues on what to do with this one. We were a Kyocera dealer but not any more. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for any info.

Have you installed ScanFileUtility, setup scan to pc destination & sender? Alternatively you can set up scan to email - less hassle for you.

Don't forget, If using XP have to add "scanner file utility" in the "exceptions" of the windows firewall, under Security Center in Control Panel

        1. Install Scan File Utility.
        2. Setup Scan file utility - Folder where scans will save to.
        3. In Scan System Command Centre, (accessed via a web browser by entering IP address of Scan System) make the in the Scan to PC section the hostname or IP address is entered (depending on if it a static or dynamic network)
        4. If a firewall program is being used make the scan file utility is an exception or look for the file NSCAT.COM and allow.
