    Royal 1800df ...imaging unit help

I installed a new mita imaging unit -Ai 1515/1515F/1810F/2020- into a royal CS-1800df and now all i'm getting is a "can not print" and "maintenance time" messages.
I know very little about this machine and according to some people (depending who I ask) they are compatible...and sometimes not.

Can someone help me with this problem?

The Mita Image unit has a different jumper wire that is located underneath the top cover. If I remember right you have to remove the toner cover and the top cover from the image unit to get to it. The jumper wire will be 3 yellow wires pinched together on one end and a black plug on the other. If you still have the old IU just use the plug from that one. If not you will have to cut one of the wires from the Mita one as the Royal one only has 2 wires. If you have to cut one the plug has 4 holes but only 3 wires. Cut the wire closest to the blank hole. Then you should not have to run a sim. Good luck.
