Olivetti PGL2550/Kyocera Ecosys P3050dn - Toner Emtpy Message

    Hi there!

A few weeks ago we've replaced the Maintenance Kit (Deve, Drum, Fuser, Roller, etc) on an Olivetti PGL2550 (Kyocera Eco P3050dn same modell/parts)
Everything prints fine but after a few pages the machine sends out "Toner Empty", when you take out the Toner and shake it, it works fine again.

Toner has been replaced already, but the problem persists.

Perhaps does someone know what could be the culprit for that message?

    Thanks in advance !

Did you remember to run "new developer" in service mode?

Yeah did that, filled up the DV unit.
Everything prints fine and looks good, apart from the error that occurs multiple times a day.

Are you sure your drum unit matches the pattern on the toner cartridge? If not, the toner is not properly delivered to DV.
Seen this a few times when utax-triumph/olivetti/kyocera parts were shuffled around. Easy solvable if you have an old/original drum unit.

Make sure the toner container lever on the left hand side works properly. Push down on the top of the container and then push the blue lever . It should move smoothly. If not replace the toner. That lever opens the toner supply door to fill the dev unit.

Nice that your problem is solved and thanks for the feedback. Many people get help here and never bother to post their result, which does not encourage others to post.

So, problem solvers, post your fix, when it is solved.

We have lots of those small kyocera in cement plants and production sites. They get filled with dust and still work fine. I sometime wonder how the sensors on the machines withstand all that dust and still function.
