    Scanning in jpeg

Hi all, this is my first post, so be nice.

Scanning to folder, using the KM 5050, scanning in colour using jpeg.
After about 10-14 A4 pages, the machine just stops, no error code, memory light just flashes. Nothing happens. Nothing gets to the folder.
Firmware is updated, and the client assures me they have used this function before with no problems. Any ideas.

You need to add memory. Try "Memory Experts". They have it pretty cheap.

Just got back from the client. I formatted the harddrive, and the machine is working great! Harddrive stores all info and does not auto delete, same as P.C's I guess.

        haha. more fw-stuff.

anyway: the advice is to run format when updating fw on those.

          No problems with machine!!!

A week and a bit on, i was still having scanning issues, after I formatted the HD and updated the firmware, the "fault" seemed to changed.
After I scanned to folder, I would select "COPY" and the screen would say "Ready To Copy". Normal right. But the Start key doesn't go green.

After two harddrives and an unlimited amount of coffee, We found, and as in "We" I mean me (the I.T. fella thinks he found it), A faulty switch giving us all the headaches!.

Sorry for shouting....had to vent.....thought this was a good spot.
