    Power-up problem CS-4035

    We have a CS-4035 in the field @700,000 copies, SRDF-2, print/scan,fax system, DF-71 installed.
Customer turns off machine overnight. On some mornings, when machine is switched on, you can hear the fans come on, but machine does not go into warm-up. Control panel is dark, no cycling, nothing. The machine can be switched off and onn to no avail, but if you unplug it and plug it back in, it comes on for the rest of the day. It only occurs (so far) when the machine has been off overnight. After it fires up, you can turn it off and on with no problem.
Have replaced the power supply pcb and updated firmware. Anyone seen this before?

how are they turning it off? energy saver or the power key on the operation panel? that has to be pressed again to "wake" the system back up.

from your description of the symptom: update fax fw is the way to go.

Firmware didn't fix it. Tried replacing the ribbon bable between fax and main board. Will let you know.
