Paper jam coming from cassette, paper feeds about 4cm out of tray, not far enough to reach registration rollor and comes up with jam11.

Check springs and backend assy in papercassete.
If you have a old FS1118MFP the pickup roller has to be replaced.

check the paper feed clutch they tend to slip and so misfeed as you describe. it should lock tight when turning one way and spin freely the other, if it slips then its buggered replace it.
you can mod them by putting thin sellotape around the gear shaft. the bit that goes into the spring one turn only and trim off any excess. should turn freely but lock the other way. obviously this is just a quick fix but have tested one over 60k prints and still going strong.
