    DC-1560 paper size setting

I was recently called to work on an old Mita Dc-1560 for a paper feed issue; however, the problem is not so much paper feed, but rather the paper size settings. I have limited info on this unit (Intravia guide), and it doesn't contain the setting for paper size.
Can anyone advise the mode and process i need to do to set the paper size -particularly for the bypass, as he mostly wants to run 11"x17". and it is currently set for 81/2" x 11" -thus cutting off half the page. I guess the best setting for it would be "U"
    Thanks in advance.

Not sure if it'll work for the 1560, but for the CS-2018 (DC-1856) you hold press the paper selection button and once it's on the bypass hold it in for a could seconds. It should flash and maybe exposure buttons or such change the default size. I should have an operation guide for one of those types of machines at the shop. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I read something today that led me to believe that it may be a "smart Bypass" afterall, so the paper sensors may me the problem.
Thanks for the response though, and any more info you may have to confirm your suggestion, or otherwise, is appreciated
