So far, they seem to have jamming issues in the exit section. What kinds of problems did you find?

i havent put mine out in the field yet (i now have two in the shop).

just the way they are designed, you would think the TA series would not rely on older technology/design of the old 2550 series. feed tire access, connecting trays (whats up with that), cheaper built duplexer. when setting the date on it, it allowed me to go to 1998..?????

was the exit section dealing with a finisher or going to the internal tray? if it was the internal tray, what resolution did you come to, to correct that?

      thanks

I've had two different issue with the exit section (both exiting to inner tray). The first issue was with the exit roller idle pullies (white plastic). They apparently need a really specific amount of tension or they slip on the copies. The only tension adjustment, however is the little wire "leaf spring". I had to keep bending each one the same amount and experimenting until I finally got it to feed correctly. You can't just tighten the hell out of them, because if you do it will bend the flimsy plastic shaft that the rubber rollers are mounted on and cause jams as well.
The other issue was with the plastic paper guide that is mounted on the left door and guides paper into the exit section. It got really warped (presumably from the heat of the fuser mounted directly below it) and caused the paper to jam at the fuser entrance guide.
