right, the paper hits the fuser and does a 'n' shaped turn. the paper is still attempting to be pushed up into the fuser, when really it does the 'n' turn and gets pushed down

So it's hitting the frame of the fuser and never getting into the nip?

the paper hits the fuser roller but turns around because of the ) shape.. so it could be the fuser somehow. can anyone actually stop a duplex print job right before the 2nd fuser pass and tell me if your paper is ) shaped from the U turn?

Jason did you check the fuser temperature for single side and duplex in 161, if the curl on single side has more than (I think) 5 mm this could cause your jams on duplex. good luck
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Does this machine have the new style Conveying unit and Transfer Roller unit as described in Tech Bulletin 3?
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

No it doesn't. Thank you so much for the help everyone. I have been seriously freaking out over this because its a very important client and i'm the only technician for this small company. You guys absolutely are the best!!

I'm reading the Tech Bulletin now, and replacing the feed clutch. I think that bulletin is exactly what I needed!!!!
