CS-1820 Scanning

I am setting up an CS-1820 for scanning and i am trying to add PC destinations. My problem is that when i am adding PC destinations in the address book I cant set the username and password for the share. And when i scan i have to input the user/pass every time i scan, which is very time consuming and quite annoying to use the number pad.

Is there another place to store the user name and password on this machine? Or is there a way to attach the user name/password in the address book?

What the hell were they thinking when they did that?

Anyway thanks for your answer. Using a simple user/pass shouldn't be too bad.

storing passwords

you can store passwords but you need the (1820 la) firmware it will add some stuff you always wanted but it will change the copier name to something like mfp 1118... this is the european firmware update...
