This is a machine serialnumber mismatch between to EEprom's -
I had this happen on a 3040 the other day. turned out it was a mc short that caused the eng. board eeprom to lose info so I had to go to sim 004 and re send the s.n. to the eeprom. to do this you just go to the sim and hit print twice. This is how i fixed a c180 and then discovered the mc had shorted out and was probably responsible for the c180.
