    greyness on km 3060

I have a client who had some greyness in the copies... I attempted to adjust through sim mode 101.... I took everything back to the settings for sim mode 101 in the manual... this eventually resulted in the toner hopper motor throwing out a c7000 code or the toner hopper motor squeeling horribly... we took the machine back to the shop and gave the customer a loaner... We had a kyocera area tech come down and look at it...

He did a sim mode 20 and took it back to factory... the copier was only used for copying so nothing important was removed... he then went into sim mode 101 and decreased shift bias by 10 and duty by 10

this took care of the issue

I also found out that you can export all but the network settings via sim mode 917 using the export option available...

    the issue has returned...
we have put a loaner in the location...

    issue appears after 50 copies...

spots and cloudy... are the copies...

changed the high voltage board... no change...

upping the duty in sim mode 101 makes it light but too light for customer...

any ideas are appreciated... working on it... now...

the charger was bad... there is no physical damage to the charger... its just bad and to top it off... we tested the charger from another machine in the box and that one was bad... only the charger that we just overnighted from kyocera is good... and you cannot physically tell that it is bad...
