    KM3650W

    Hello everyone

Has anybody managed to update firmware on the KM3650W plan printer, I have tried going in via crossover and usb. Support, i have found, is none exsistent on this model.

My client cannot rotate his drawings, so we have extra wide borders.
    Thanx

This is a rebadged Kip 3000 or 3100. Are you trying to flash the firmware of the machine or the controller inside the machine? The controller can be done over the network if it has the Kip software on it by "pushing" the file to the controller. I would have to get the books out to do the machine firmware. I have not had to do it in 2 years...
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

FYI, It is my understanding the the KM-3650w is very similar to the Kip 3000 but there are some differences so be carefull if your using a Kip parts list, The KIP and the Kyocera use different print controllers.

Thanks for the response guys. I am trying to update both machine and controller firmware. I have a conference call with an expert in the morning. Wish me luck

Did you ever find out how to flash this machine? I need to flash one, but looking at the manual and bulletin #5, I am still not sure how it is done.
