    Kyocera KM-3035

Hi, I'm not friendly with this brand and I want to ask how to activate the fax - I have two copiers, one of this copiers is about 500 000 copies (copy/fax/print/scan) and the other is 10 000 (only copier). I want to move fax, scanner, printer function (boards) to this with 10 000 pages. I did this yesterday, print is OK, scan is O.K. but FAX.... doesn't work(when you push the button it doesn't light). I don't have service manual and I don't know what to do in this case. Any Idea....

    Thanks

The fax unit consists of 3 boards - the modular board(phone jack), fax controller, & power supply, as well as a few harnesses. The controller board is the one that the mod's harness goes in to & sits behind the print controller below the copier's main board. The power supply sits to the right of the mod board next to the power supply. Follow all the harnesses & you should find everything. Also be sure to take the flat ribbon cable that goes from fax cont to main board.
It's involved but not too bad.

Definitely check the ribbon cable in the back. It is VERY sensitive. Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries to get the fax button to light up when I move a Fax system.

We hate to move that fax system from machine to machine, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have seen this problem and I have corrected it by updating the firmware

Also, don't forget about initializing the fax board after installation. (Sim 600, I think. I know it's somewhere in the 600s though).
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

guess you're missing something with the power board. faulty ribbon cable or wrong firmware usually means error codes.
