    Taksalfa 200ci - Printing Issue

    Hi Guys,

I have a customer who prints about 8000 pages from a custom application (com pen) - their pension package.

It is a one page double sided document sent to all their clients. The front page varies with content but the back page is the same content (everytime).

They are currently first printing the back page using a word document then they are manually putting those printed pages back into the tray and printing the front page.

My question is: Can they use a printing profile etc. to have it automatically print the word document on the back each time they need to print out these documents?

    Any suggestions please....

    Thnx

You need a personal PRESCRIBE programming and program this profil page by PRESCRIBE in a Compact Flash Card and put it in the Printing System slot.

    Bye !!

you need to create the form on a compact flash card using PREscribe and use one of the logical ports (9101) or use the Prologue/Epilogue in the KX driver.

        Taksalfa 250ci - Printing Issue

        sorry guys it's a Taskalfa 250ci (typo)

I don't know how to use prescribe at ALL... and prologue\epilogue... don't think it will work either as there is no option to print on the back side.
I've got all the prescribe manuals and I still don't know what to do...
Anyone willing to explain??? (BABY steps?)

What is required is for you to create a macro file of the back page. this can be done using word and the KYOCERA PRESCRIBE CREATOR. All you have to do is print the doc and it creates the macro file. Then using IC LINK you can send the file to the copier. Once the macro is on the machine, you need to create a dedicated driver for this application. A batch file can then be created using IC LINK, that the Prologue/epilogue feature in the driver will use to put the macro on the back of your document.

If you like I can help you with this. Just send me the file that you want on the back of the page. I can create the macro and the batch file, so that all you need to do is setup the driver and send the macro to the copier using IC LINK (available from Kyocera).
