    taskalfa waste toner

Not sure if this has been posted but kyocera are advising (internaly) changing u486 to setting 1 to avoid problems with waste toner overfilling.

Setting color/black and white operation mode
    Description
When color and B/W documents are mixed, sets operation mode after a color document is detected.
    Purpose
To ensure productivity when copying color and B/W documents in ACS mode, select MODE3.
However, selecting MODE3 will increase the maintenance count for cyan,

As stated this is kyocera internal and has not been sent to dealers so its upto you if you change the setting - i am not responsible for any problems that may occur!

dont know but there looks to be an issue with waste toner bottles being filled quickly and problems with the transfere belt section. As said its an internal memo going round kyocera so its not an official bulletin and we dont know if it works but we as a supplier are trying it out and looking at the results as we go.

Had the same problem a few months ago with a 400ci. Kyocera (Netherlands) advised to upgrade the firmware to the latest. I've upgraded the firmware and until now machine runs without problems.
