Does anyone have some ideas about what would cause false "replace toner" messages on a TASKalfa 300ci? All developing units and toner cartridges were just replaced for a different issue. The main board was also replaced recently and firmware is at latest levels. Any ideas?

Check the dev drive/cleaning motors, this is a known problem with these motors and they have been modified a couple of times now, I'll have a look for the mod bullitin and post it.The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Ok, check the pdf's one refers to the motors I was talking about, be aware the part numbers have changed again since this pdf and are UK spec.
I forgot about the other pdf which refers to the toner drive it could be that.

I trimmed up the toner coupler on the two cartridges that were having the problem and it worked. Thanks a lot.But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
