    Question on KM3035/4035 maintenance kits

Looking at the parts in each of these kits (KM3035 and KM4035) and it looks like they are identical except for the drum unit. Is this correct? What is the difference between the two drum units? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Also looking for the part number for the tray 1 paper feed assembly or the frame (broken post that holds the white holder for the seperation roller).

    Have a great day!

The drums are technically different, but I've heard people swap them around with no issue. I'm too scared to try it, though.
You are correct: the 3035 drum is the same as Falcon 1 (2530, 3530, 4030) and different from the 4035/5035 drum. Everything else in the Falcon 2 (3035, 4035, 5035) maintenance kit is the same.

The whole paper feed assembly is 2BJ00020, and the frame part that breaks is 2AR07210 LOWER HOUSING,PAPER FEED. The mylar that goes on that frame part is 2AR07660 GUIDE FILM,SEPARATION PULLEY. Also, the paper feed assembly is the same on the Ai2310, Falcon 1-4, Voyager (C2520), and 500ci series. The color machines have an extra spring in theirs.

Thank you aragul for the quick response and information. Is the post that breaks a common problem with these or is it just rough usage that causes it?

Yikes! $280 for a PF assembly!!!!!!!

I've seen that post break several times, and it's often due to someone slamming the drawer shut a few times.

I never realized how expensive the little feed unit was. It's probably cheaper to buy an old 2310/3010 to get a couple (but not really worth it). The 2AR07210 is super cheap though if you can find it.

The drum units for the KM-2530/3035/4030, KM-4035/5035, FS-9100/FS-9500DN, FS-9120/FS-9520DN are identical EXCEPT for the PCB/Connector. You'll get a code if you put the wrong drum in the wrong machine. But if you have the right connector, then you will be fine. Just pop open the cover on the rear of the drum where it connects to the machine. I haven't tried it, but I assume the Falcon 3/4 printer and copier drum works the same.

We're looking to pick up a couple of KM4035's for parts machines or whatever. Found the 2AR07210 on a couple of European sites for about 6 or 7 euros so may go with that. Thanks again for the information.

dude... the only difference between one drum unit for one machine and another from another machine... if they are completely in appearance but aren't interchangeable... is the (boards)... there are small boards in each developer and drum unit that tells them what machine to work in... in some cases one in other cases two... take these out of the one that works... put them in the one that doesn't and voila... you will be a happy camper... in the developer... its part of the connector... in the drum... there is an additional board that also sits on the top towards the back where the connector sits... so one board for developer and 2 boards for drum... some people call the board chips...
