I tore down and cleaned the printer that printed ok but had a magenta streak down the right side of the page at the very edge, when the machine was put back together the registration was off by over an inch with some colors and 1/2 with the rest, this status page is what it looks like now after a long time of trying to get registration back in order. it will not get perfect and every time you print a registration chart they change a little bit even though there was no adjustment made???? anybody seen this before.

First reseat everything, especially the belt unit. When you install the unit, make sure all the contacts on the right side are correctly aligned. When you reseat the drums, pull them to the left and let go, so they reseat themselves. Make sure the developer units are seated properly on the left, where the contacts are. This should help the side to side alignment. If the alignment in feed direction (top to bottom) can't be fixed, replace the transfer belt assy. If it's turning a little too slow, the colors won't align. Had one from a PM kit do this right out of box, once. Good luck. -

It's almost certainly the belt assembly. At least, that's what it's been for me when I just coudn't get the registration to align.Comment
