    cs-300i frozen at welcome screen

OK here's the deal I have a cs-300i with a df-780 internal finisher. Paper was creasing as it went through the finisher, removed to inspect, reinstalled. While reinstalling missed a pin on the cn going to the engine board. when I turned the machine back on, DEAD realized mistake and connected the cn properly. But now it was throwing a finsher code. Machine ran OK without finisher plugged in. Replaced finisher board still ng. Replaced engine PWB and transferred the rom chip, now the machine is frozen at welcome screen. I tried to flash firmware and it won't even do that HELP! ANY IDEAS?

will it boot with original rom?

Restore to the original finisher and rom, hopefully it still throws a code when plugged in.

Pray that it is a interlock issue that u906 can cure.

OK I am little red-faced on this one. The reason for the frozen welcome screen was I reversed positions on the 2 usb style cn on the main pwb going to the op panel. But, finisher was responding in reverse. When it was closed said open and vice versa, same with guides going in the wrong direction. Turns out I was shipped a pwb from the legacy series machine for the finisher.
