    TaskAlfa 250ci

We just placed a taskalfa 250ci in the field and the customer was playing with it and ran across the web browser. it will not get onto the internet thought. has anyone ran into this? is it a network thing or a copier thing?

you cannot print from the web browser. it is only for browswing, if it has a static ip you will not get internet access.

i'm more thinking on the line of server management, if it has one. Not authorzied nic card(mac address) to go into the clouds that kinda thing.

I dont think static/dynmic IP matters(do correct me if I'm wrong.)

Static ip will not make a difference...is it letting the customer get into the web browser application? I would check the gateway, the dns information and make sure that its got the right ip address and mask. like jmaister said though it may not have access to the 'cloud' if the admins have the network locked down tight enough, or if everyones going through a proxy...

Re reading the thread ide check the DNS info and proxy info of the network first
