    [Misc] Folder Scan Taskalfa250ci

    Hi!

    I have a problem, i cant scan to folder nither on server or directly to user computer.

    I use these settings on the SMB:

    \\computername or \\servername
    PORT: 21
    Path: \\Computername\sharefolder or \\Servername\sharefolder
    User login: none
    Authentication: none

    I also tryed with user login but still the same problem on both...

    Or Kyocera support cant even help us since they suck big time!

    What is the error code you get when it fails to scan?
    The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

        1103= Network path name is incorrect or you do not have access or the correct rights to the specified shared folder. I suggest you check the share rights of the folder and also check your anti viris is not ' blocking' it.

          already checked that.. and there is no blocking what so ever.. all the rights to the specified folder is correct.

          I will try to setup a simular Folderscan here at my office and se if it works here.

          BTW! Thanks for fast respond JSC!

            Make sure you have only typed in the shared folder name ONLY in command centre, you don't put in the full path, so if the folder name is Scans, you only put Scans as the path you dont need \\compuername\scans etc etc.

            Good Luck

                    To be honest the only time I get 1103 it is ether the windows fire wall blocking it or the folder share is not correct, So im a bit puzzeld.............I'll have a think

                      Try port 445, worth a shot. Also check to make sure your domain or workgroup settings in advanced settings are set correctly

                              Given ur description of ur tribulations,how about a few pointers;
                              1)Try using the IP instead of the computer name
                              2)The port should be 139(SMB) instead of 21(FTP)
                              3)The path should be the shared folder's name preferably with no capital letters
                              4)As for user login,create a user profile in windows named scan,pwd-123@abc & give admin rights;these r the credentials to be fed @ thee browser page
                              5)Other things u might consider;
                              > what if u were 2 use a crossover cable?
                              > R certain windows services running like computer browser,workstation,server & all their dependencies et al
                              > Try connecting to the "scan" folder from the touch panel;there sholud be a tab on ur RHS named folder entry or sumthing like that

                              Let me know what u find
