Hi, have stumbled upon this forum a few times but this is my first post. 
First off this is regarding a 300ci I've been having problems with but is also more of a general enquiry covering the whole range of machines.
I'm looking at the possibility of creating Hard Drives for the machines to hold in stock as backups.
Is there model specific data on the HDD's out of box, from what I can tell they don't use a standard file system but can you put any HDD (same spec) in and use the simulation to format/write any data to it or is there preloaded data required for the machine to boot properly.
If so, would it be possible to just clone the HDD of one machine using imaging software and write it to another disk?
I'm going to have a play with this anyway but if anyone has any information/advice it would be much appreciated.
