FS-C5400DN- Marks on backs of prints

    Hi
Has anyone come across this issue before- we have two FS-C5400DNs with this problem.

The first few prints after machine is switched on have two reddish brown marks, each about one inch wide and 3 inches long and separated by about one inch, on the top rear of the prints.

The marks disappear with use. We replaced transfer belt and transfer roller on KMs advice when meter had reached around 10k and the problem went. Now it is back only 10k later and client not happy.

    Grateful for any advice

    Cheers
    Pat

Havent seen that one yet... Personally i like kyo's (tho for now straying away from colors) ... color printers just aint quite there yet (darn devs -.-)... dang things... if the client doesnt do full cover pages with a minimum balance of colors, sooner or later (usually sooner than later) the devs just start drooling all over the place due to excessive toner on the second dev roller...
Does that model use the same print principle of say the FS-C5030n etc?
    If its the same principle...
-You speak of redish brown... if i had to guess I would start by checking the transfer belt cleaning roller... its cleaned by a "brush" roller that stays in the machine when you take the transfer belt out, the brush passes the toner to a charged metal roller that is the cleaned by a blade... that assembly will pour the cleaned toner onto the waste bottle... that assembly could very well be clogged or doing a faulty cleaning of the transfer belt (or making it dirty instead of cleaned). And since youre at it take a look at the drum's waste collector they both tunnel to the waste bottle.

Check all devs for drooling... toner tends to acumulate under the outer dev roller and if its too much it will drip onto the transfer belt (specially if the client doesnt do full color prints)
Tho this should also make the print dirty in the front with random color stains here and there.
If they are drooling make sure to inspect the drums... clean the led bars, and charge wires/grids (if theres drooling for sure they are dirty).
Might wanna peek on the fuser... could have some toner sticked to it...

If your machine is different, just forget my rant and sorry for any inconvenience.

Just had customer send thru copy of the print- marks are actually 1/2 inch wide, 2 inches long and about 1inch in from each side of page ( so 5 1/2 inches apart, not one inch apart). They look like registration marks
