[Misc] KM-C3225e - black/white default isn't working

I am pretty sure this can be isolated to the KPDL driver. The computers with this problem are running Windows 7. Our older machines in the office that are running XP don't have this problem, but we also had to update the drivers last week after the printer technician made some changes which most likely had something to do with this problem.

Not sure what to do default is set to black/white & markups/ stamps and pdfs off the internet have so far printed color.

FYI - this is only happening with PDFs.

What to do? thanks.

Try in the driver under the imaging tab selecting print text as black and use black for gray.

In printer properties-device settings- select PDL tab and change emulation to pcl5e or pcl6. Make sure you have full driver downloaded and not mini or universal driver.

Also, I have had the problem where I will set B/W to default under Advanced>Printer Defaults, but it does not change the default for the user. Sometimes you also have to change the Printer Preferences under the General tab. Normally, setting the Printer Default setting should change the Printer Preferences, but once in a while I will have to set the default settings I want in both tabs.
