More than not when dialing a fax number on this machine, the dial tone does not go away. If i try 4 times it may accept the number once. Also, if it doesn't accept the first digit of the phone number it will not accept the rest of the number. I have tried the same in manual dial with the same problem. If I connect an external phone either at the wall or at the phone jack on the fax the number dials correctly every time. Now they are starting to have problems receiving faxes also.
Does anyone know of anything that will fix this? Has anyone seen it before? If so was it modem settings or bad board? Not under contract which means I can't just give them a loaner and bring it into the shop to play with.
I did connect the fax to another phone line in the office with the same result.
