    8000i jamming codes 4911 4918 5011

We are having issues even after last firmware update!

Machine has over 400k copies and now has this issue... it will make some small runs with no jam, then will jam back to back with no paper making it completely out of the finisher... Copies to right side job sep are ok so problem appears to be bridge/finisher related, nothing appears to be getting physically blocked or damaged as all papers are still in good shape, they just stop in process... any ideas are greatly appriciated! Tested with new finisher and bridge unit with no change

Check that the hinges are seated right on the bridge unit. There was a bulletin out on 49xx and 50xx codes due to the bridge unit being opened to high and pulling the hinges out of their seats. They have 302LF28770 Sheet, Hinge Stopper (Qty. 2) to rectify the problem.

hi there, just had the kyocera rep down for exactly the same problem i had spent three days trying to figure it out and like you i thought it was either the sorter or the bride unit (so did the kyo rep) .we decided to remove the bridge motors and check them and to do so we removed the exit unit on the machine .while i removed the motor unit from the back the kyo rep looked at the exit unit.he found the bearing on the end that the belt is was tight .we removed the bearing (had to use flat blade to lever it off).it was so tight the shaft had a blue tinge on it where it was overheating.we cleaned of the black grease and used very fine wet and dry to clean the blue area of the shaft .put it all back together and got 1000 stapled booklets through with no problems and its still going (touch wood) hope this helps you

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE!!! Went back for another try (second visit with area tech rep) and was able to fix based on your recommendation... the bushings were not as bad as your description, but were dirty enough to apparently slow the shaft down... cleaned them all and now working great... thanks again!!
