    [Misc] NIC CARD QUESTION

    HOW DO I CHECK TO SEE IF A NIC CARD IS WORKING OR NOT??? ON A CS 4500i---I CAN PING THE COPIER AND GET AN ANSWER, DOES THAT MEAN ANYTHING

    I depends on the ANSWER, if it is a Reply, a Request Time Out or a Destination Unreachable.

      If you can ping the machine with positive result, the NIC should be working OK, and you should have a good connection between your computer and the machine.

      The latest Kyocera machine are all equipped with Gigabit NIC's. If the customer's network is not supporting Gigabit Ethernet then you get an Unreachable result. When you set the machine to 100Mb the connection will be back.
