KM-5035 auto duplex image problem

Have a Kyocera-Mita 5035 with a auto duplex imaging problem.

It appears that only when you auto duplex
a document, the image comes out faded and voids thru the page.

If I manually duplex by putting sheet back in the paper tray it comes out fine, so its not
using the duplex unit.

If I manually place doc on the glass and duplex, its a problem, so its not a doc feeder
problem and appears to be a problem with duplex unit or some sort of transfer roller
voltage problem on duplexing mode only. Can you tell me if they change the voltage
to transfer roller on duplexing mode? If so how do I measure it, and what should it be,
and how would I adjust it? Is there something in service mode to check or adjust??

Two most common problems. Bad transfer roller and or sp mode is set for new style transfer roller and you have the old style.

If it was the transfer roller then why would it work fine on the first side? How would I check for new or old style transfer roller and how do you change it?

If I remember what he's talking about correctly. It's not just the Transfer Roller but that whole "middle door" conveying area that changed at some point. I had a slightly different image problem pop up one time but it involved the same issue, old conveying.

If I remember correctly the voltage setting change for duplex.Transfer roller will deteriorate over time/prints paper dust. However,even with the new style I sometimes will use the setting for the old style it just seams to work better.. Use mm 956 to set conveying type to old or new. Yours is a known problem.
