Best Copiers in the Field

I though I start a post on technicians favorite copiers out in the field for Color and Black and White. This could get interesting. For mine, the black and white is the Kyocera 4050 and all the other mid range Kyocera copiers built on this engine. The color I am still trying to decide. Stay tune in a later post.

Re: Best Copiers in the Field
My personal favorite would be the Kyocera Falcon 2 series. KM-3035/4035/5035. After more than 8 years in the field and millions of copies accumulated, common problems remain common problems which translate to easy fixes. Aside from regular PM and the occassional worn or broken parts, all you really need to do is CLEAN these machines and they will run forever.
Now color is a different story, but my vote goes for the Kyocera Voyager series. KM-C2520 to KM-C4035E. There were some issues in the beginning such as the developer collars, fuser units and exit gears but all of that is in the past and these have been running great. You still have the occassional cassette width sensor and touch panel tablet to deal with. Aside from those minor nuisances, these are great machines.
