[Misc] Taskalfa 520i update issue

Hi All,

i am trying to update the firmware on a 520i.

I place the stick in the machine and the machine goes through the update procedure very quickly and finishes ok but on checking the firmware version it has not changed.
I know on some models you can remove the skip file to force the machine to update but i cannot see this in the 520i files.


Anyone had this before?? solution??

On the TA 520i it doesn't "skip" any file. Every firmware reload I've done on those takes at least 10 to 15 mins. I'd make sure you've got the correct firmware and it's loaded onto the USB correctly.

Make sure you have the right firmware for the right machine, and copy the firmware uncompressed to the USB-stick. Only the new Taskalfa series (3050ci/3550ci etc) can skip firmware if the version on the machine is the same as on the stick.

Reformat the USB stick to FAT16. Reinstall the firmware to the USB stick.
Try to do the firmware update again on the T/A 520i
