[Misc] Adobe Illustrator & other Adobe Application on Mac Printing Issue CS400ci

    Hello All,

One of our customer is a design oriented company and they print files of AI (adobe illustrator or adobe photoshop).
They design with Mac and whenever they try to print to Copystar CS400ci, the job just hangs and not printing.
We have tried to replace the printer driver and replace the cable to make the connection better.
As we print using AI, there are two major warnings on the AI summary section:
    1. document contains RGB images
    2. document effects resolution 72 ppi
However, all results are the same, not printing.
If anyone has confronted with this problem or has taken care of this, please share with me.
    Thanks in advance

Make sure you have KPDL(Auto) and PCL6 emulation on the Printer settings set.
Let us know if this solved your issue. as it did most of mine compability Mac Apps .

      What's the 400ci installed via? IPP/apple talk/bonjour?

If installed by IP, pending OS version without the permission patch the driver will not work. You'd be most successful installing via Bonjour. It can be turned on in Command Centre or in System Menu/System

Another thing to look at which can cause some issues in the Adobe apps is the Pre-Flight option for printing.

Try turning that off and see if it helps at all.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
