This is a message that the maintenance count has been reached. The count is set in service mode U250. To reset the " Time for Maintenance" indication use U251. Had this on a 3060 recently. Reset U251 and all was well. This was at 300k. Did not have any problem until 349k. Had a streak issue, cleaned the charge corona, and all was ok. Ordered the 300k PM Kit, went back and installed it. These machines are great. No other service calls since machine installation. Hope this helps.

Is the service that you need to execute in the service mode.

In KM-1820 you enter in service mode with this procedure:

          Turn off you machine
Open the front cover, turn machine on.
As soon the machine start up
          Press the system menu/counter key.
          Select Service.
Hold down "Start" and "#", press "enter".
          Select Maintenance mode.
          Press "enter".
Select desired maintenance mode (U251), execute the reset press "enter".
Turn power off and on to exit maintenance mode.
The service will be executed automatically in the Turn off/on procedure.

I hope this help. I only reset fuser problems in Kyocera Mita. (U163)

To enter servicemode, you have to enter 10871087 using the numeric keys.
U251 code is for resetting maintenance count.

I usually change the drum-unit when "Time for maintenance" is displayed.
