    [Misc] Mita KM-5035 LCT

The LCT (bottom of machine) is not moving up into position. Any ideas?

Did you try performing a U906 in maintainance mode?

The lift motor or some associated gear could be having issues. Does it sound crunchy when it's supposed to be lifting?

If it has been disabled you will need to perform a 906 as stated above, The little circuit board on the back by the LCT could also be defective. Though it is rare for it to be bad.

Are you sure the connector that connects the LCT to the copier is plugged in properly? Also, take off the back cover of the LCT and look for any pinched wires or burn marks on any of the wires that may indicate that a short occurred at some point. I had a dead option feed unit on a similar model machine and found one of the main wires that go to the connector had the insulation rubbed off by the outside of the feed motor, eventually causing a short (accompanied by the tell tale burn mark) which killed the feed unit. A quick replacement of the wiring harness and we were back in business...

906 or adjust LCT tray so it activates

If your problem comes back. Generally you can resolve with the code re-initialization of functions as you did.
We have had several of these with similar issues. In one case about every 4 to 8 weeks would get call. Issue on this that caused exact symptoms you had was simply one of the customers way overfilling with paper.
In another it was a linkage issue with lift coupling.

Also, make sure the customer is loading the paper properly. If the bottom of the stack gets curled, the tray won't lift correctly.
