The LCT (bottom of machine) is not moving up into position. Any ideas?

Re: Mita KM-5035 LCT
The lift motor or some associated gear could be having issues. Does it sound crunchy when it's supposed to be lifting? But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

Re: Mita KM-5035 LCT
Are you sure the connector that connects the LCT to the copier is plugged in properly? Also, take off the back cover of the LCT and look for any pinched wires or burn marks on any of the wires that may indicate that a short occurred at some point. I had a dead option feed unit on a similar model machine and found one of the main wires that go to the connector had the insulation rubbed off by the outside of the feed motor, eventually causing a short (accompanied by the tell tale burn mark) which killed the feed unit. A quick replacement of the wiring harness and we were back in business...But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

If your problem comes back. Generally you can resolve with the code re-initialization of functions as you did.
We have had several of these with similar issues. In one case about every 4 to 8 weeks would get call. Issue on this that caused exact symptoms you had was simply one of the customers way overfilling with paper.
In another it was a linkage issue with lift coupling.Comment
