    TASKalfa 205C bypass problem

Has anyone had Issue with the bypass on this model? when copying through the bypass the image starts about 3 to 4 inches down the page, seems the paper is too early indicating a registration issue, I've replaced the feed roller, seperation, and the entire gear pack on the back side of the machine with no change. When feeding from the cassette everything is fine, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried adjusting the MPT values in Maintenance Mode 034?

Sudsybrew, I fell to mention it may only do it 1 out of 5 copies, next time it may do it 4 out of 5 copies so it's very erratic

I had a very simular problem with a 255c out of the box, changed sep, feed ect with no luck, turned out I had to clean the rollers in the side of the machine with scotch brite pad then alcohol.

It has been some time since I had to do this and we ar no longer selling these machines so I dont remember what it looks like 100% but when you open the side door (mp try is attached to) the vertical conveying that you can see just above where the mp feed roller is I believe. If you need more information i will have to visit a site and have a look, or if you could send a pic i can point them out.
