420i with blank white (backlit) screen)

Hi All

wondering has anyone had this before on this class of machine?

the screen suddenly this morning is blank except for white backlight and the machine is not showing up on the network?

thought i would ask before going out as i dont want to go through replacing a bunch of partrs to find the right one.

Service mode U906 > then U201 > then HDD format + fresh Firmware > and then I would try the difficulties like changing the whole control panel to eliminate the main bits.

If my memory serves me well I think it may be caused by the memory module under the display. And as some say when changing that module you change the PCB too.. I think I have seen a thread about this.. just need to dig it out but it was on a different machine ..KM5050 or something like that.

thanks, i have the flow chart from previous F000 issues, didnt think about it till i saw it again.

Hi , yes went out took op panel off to inspect, found nothing unusual, replaced and all was working again!!!!
somedays are good.
